Alyson brings her love struck duo back to the masses in this, the fourth offering of her Immortal series. Things heat up throughout as doubt, jealousy and anger feel like the main emotions within. Can Damon and Ever survive and will love conquer all? Well, I’m not going to tell you that.
What I can and will tell you is that Alyson has a great talent for wringing emotion into her writing, the characters feel like friends and are fully rounded. The dialogue is fresh and the story arc is not only impressive but heart-stoppingly gripping. A great book and one that has left me needing Night Star in a similar way to a starving man needs food.

OK, this series is one that I absolutely love, the characters not only have to face their own supernatural natures but also the daily struggles and personal incites that make this a real challenge for them personally. It’s beautifully written, it has cracking dialogue but it’s the overall arc alongside the character growth that make this series a real guilty pleasure and one that I can’t recommend enough to other readers.

REVIEW:
The second novel in Alyson’s Immortal series and one that has a lot to live up to. After all with the way in which the original was left it was pretty much a shocker for the reader. What perhaps makes this tale a bit more realistic is the more rounded nature to the characters with a lot of their personality defects coming to the fore within, demonstrating that even when love is found, its not smooth sailing.
As with the original its got beautiful prose, great character development and finally topped up with just a sprinkle of reasonable dialogue wrapped up with some quite complex emotional issues to deal with. Great stuff.
